Reflections on Prophetic hadiths about the virtue of reading the Quran and how recitation elevates one in this life and the hereafter
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The Place of the Quran in a Muslim's Life
The Holy Quran is the strong rope of Allah and the clear light. Whoever holds onto it is saved, and whoever turns away from it is lost. The Prophet ﷺ encouraged us to recite and act upon it in many hadiths.
Read the Quran, for it will come on the Day of Resurrection as an intercessor for its companions.

Virtues of Recitation from the Prophetic Sunnah
Every Letter Earns Ten Rewards
Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah will receive a good deed, and each good deed is multiplied by ten. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter, and Mim is a letter.

The Best Among You
The best among you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.
— Narrated by Al-Bukhari
This hadith shows that the best Muslims are the people of the Quran — those who learn it and teach it to others.
How to Maintain a Daily Recitation Routine
- Set a fixed time: Choose a specific time each day for recitation, preferably after Fajr prayer
- Start small: Begin with one or two pages daily, then gradually increase
- Understand and reflect: Don't make your goal just finishing — focus on reflection and understanding
- Continuous review: Dedicate time to reviewing what you've memorized
We ask Allah to benefit us through the Great Quran and to make us among its people and His chosen ones.
